As the CEO of Astro Dental Art, Colin Kim is responsible for running all business facets and quality control. Colin has a proven executive management track record and over 20 years of experience in the dental lab industry.
Colin graduate from Busan Catholic University as a certified dental technician in South Korea in 2001. He wanted more in his career and decided to leave the mother country and settled in Canada. He opened Astro Dental Art in 2017 to fulfill his dream.
Colin completed Enhanced Smile Design, Neuromuscular and Full mouth wax-up at Las Vegas Institution in 2009. Then he went to Kois Center in Seattle and completed seven courses, including Functional Occlusion I: Science Driven Management, Functional Occlusion II: Complex Restorative Management, Implants: Fixed Retained, Treatment Planning I: Diagnostically Driven, Biomechanics I: Fundamentals for Cohesively and Adhesively Retained Restorations, Implants Fixed and Removable. While Colin gained the membership level of Recognized Specialist: Laboratory Technician at Kois Center, he received training from Willi Geller, creator of Oral Design and known to be one of the best ceramists in the world. Aiba Naoki, another member of Oral Design, trained Colin for ceramic feldspathic too. He started his studies at FACE institution and officially graduated in 2017. After graduating from the FACE institution, Colin regularly visits and assists new courses for new dentists.
Colin is passionate about new techniques and technologies. He will continuously explore the dental field to maintain his reputation as a leading partner for dentists.
